GUSTAVO COSTA

I am an ophthalmologist, specialist in ophthalmic surgery.

I'll tell you a little about my story: I arrived in Londrina in 2011, in search of a dream: studyingMedicine at one of the best universities in the country. And I did it! I attended 6 long years of graduation, with more than 9100 hours of pure pride and sacrifice in my belovedLondrina State University (UEL). Even during the course, Ophthalmology opened my eyes to what moves me every day: the satisfaction of being able to help someone see the world. In 2017, I became Doctor.

For more than 12 months working in family medicine and on the front line of urgencies and emergencies in the Norte Pioneiro region, I acquired technical knowledge and, mainly, human, fundamental to continue pursuing my personal and professional goals.

There were long days and nights on duty, alternated with a lot of dedication to studies - now, focused on yet another objective: specializing inOphthalmology in the largest service in northern Paraná. And with a lot of effort, I was approved! In2019, I started my Medical Residency atHoftalon - Vision Study and Research Center. It was 3 years of a lot of condensed learning and little sleep, in 8640 hours of immersion in consultations, exams and surgeries in the different areas of Ophthalmology, having in my hands the most modern diagnostic and treatment methods available worldwide.

In2022, I passed the title testBrazilian Council of Ophthalmology, becoming, finally,Specialist in Ophthalmology.

In the same year, I carried out thesub-specialization -Fellowship in clinical Retina and Vitreous, for the refinement of techniques already learned and intensive work in the area.

In 2023, I was invited to be an assistant doctor in units of theParaná Eye Hospital, in Curitiba, where I provided specialized care in Retina andHOAP - Apucarana Eye Hospital, where I perform complementary exams and surgical procedures - dividing my routine between services in the north of Paraná and in the Capital. This experience allowed me to further deepen my values about vision, cataracts and retinal diseases.

There goes 12 years in medicine, 7 years of experience as a doctor, and, above all, getting closer to the doctor I planned to be. During this period, I have provided clinical and surgical care focused on resolving the complaint presented by the patient.

Currently, I provide consultations and exams in the cities ofLondrina, Ibiporã and Arapongas.

I am very pleased to receivepatients concerned about their eye health in my offices and being able, in some way, to help themsee the world better

If you feel like your eyes aren't in the best shape, find me. I am sure that I will offer the best treatments, in an individualized, humanized and professional manner.
